Maybe you could try Pam spray and comb out little at a time or olive oil. If that doesn't work try peanut butter. Another thing you could try is the hair dyer on low and comb out

My 3 year old blew out a candle and got wax all over his face and hair. Rubbing olive oil all over the wax and wiping it with a clean paper towel worked really well. A warm bath with soap removed the olive oil and any wax that was left.
