Your 1984 rx7 puff blue smoke but only when the car runs for a couple minute when is cold it ok what can it be?In: Mazda RX-7 |

Answer possibilitys
returning to a previously asked question about proper warmup these cars are picky also they are mostly oil injected which means it will always burn a little oil also make sure that you are using the proper oil for the car mine is a 12-a which uses 10-40 some may take 10-50 or 20-50 i also know that rotary engines use a sub-zero starting system which will automatically use more oil and also inject a mix of 10% water to 90%antifreze for aluminum engines if your car has this feature MAKE SURE it is topped up or im sure something extremely bad will happen i havent personally experienced what happens when that tank runs dry but it uses this fluid for sure and its obviously there for a reason and could be another reason for the smoke if it is empty
