You can try to fight the ticket. But the laws in California have gotten tougher and tougher over the years for the lack of a seatbelt. $380.00 is a small price to pay for saving the life of your daughter. I have seen many times over the heartache caused by unbelted Adults as well as Children. Having 3 Children of my own From 9 - 21 years old. Its not worth the risk.
