Would the pill still work if you threw up the same day you took it? |
[Edit] |
Answer
I have read on the internet that 2 hours is the magic number. IF you threw up 2 hours or more after you took your pill...you are OK. If you threw up less than 2 hours after you took your pill then your protection is compromised. This is not an exact science I presume. If it were me, I would use a back up method.
ANSWER This is a side effect which they should've told you when you were given EC. Throwing up at all after EC requires you to see a doctor. This may be a sign of pregnancy.
Answer
When in doubt phone your pharmacist or any pharmacist. It depends on the coating on the pill or if there is a coating and what type of medication it is.
Answer
If you do ANYTHING that may reduce the efficiency of the pill (vomiting, diarrhea, taking antibiotics) you should use and additional method of contraception (condom) for 2 weeks. Read the instructions on that piece of paper in the packet.
