Would it be weird to name your son Sparkplug? |
[Edit] |
Answer
Possibly not...my ex-boyfriend's last name is Sparks, so if you had a lastname like that, meaning the kid would be named Sparkplug Sparks, with a possibly normal middle name that is more perferable to go by, it would be ok...I suppose. But I would think that would be along the lines of "A Boy Named Sue"...your kid will get made fun of relentlessly.
Answer
Why the hell would you want to do that, this really can't be a serious question can it? (well, obviously not, freak.)
Naming Your Son
Here are opinions:
- YES!
- I have to be honest with you I laughed out loud when I read this. Yes, that would be a very strange name, and you would be sentencing this poor child to lifetime of teasing.
- If you think it is a good name, change your own name to Sparkplug.
Parenting and Children Answer
Most definitely...He'll be teased all his life and be hurt, he'll experience physicological depression and hate you for naming him that. He'll be embaressed of his own name. He'll probably change it when he turns 18..
Answer
actually unusual names are not so unusual anymore. many celebrities who are having babies have names much more unusual than sparkplug i guess. some are hard to pronounce. some mean random things. some seem like two ordinary words put together. weird names are definitely NOT uncommon for the world anymore. and if you took time to translate some names in different languages, im sure you will get one that is as obscure as sparkplug.
answer
teasing and beatings will be a part of your childs life for years to come, how about that! an added bonus will be the hate and resentment your child will confort you with on a regular basis.
Answer
The best answer I've ever read was the person who said "If you think it's such a good name, change your own name to sparkplug." Perfect! Why don't you give your son another, more common name and use "Sparkplug" as your own special nickname for him? You could even think of a name with the same initials like Steven Paul or just make his legal name the initials SP. Of course, when you (or he) tell people that SP stands for Sparkplug, they still won't believe you and they'll probably have a good laugh at your son's expense. I think the nickname solution might work for you.
Answer
Actually, according to Amy van Bilder's Truck-ulent Guide to Motorious Etiquette, a child can be named Sparkplug only when dad's name is Dipstick, or mom's name is Solenoid. Penguin Books, 1998, 3rd Edition, p. 422.
O_O I would not recommend that... He would be teased, and there's little chance he'd like that name and would probably change it when he grows up. But yes, to most people it would be a strange name. But hey, you're entitled to your own opinion, I guess.
this is lone wolf here. unless ur a car, i wouldnt name him that.....
I would LOL!
