A large number of birth control pills will not work in the same way as the MAP. The MAP is the only thing that can be used to prevent pregnancy in a emergency situation whereas BC pills is long-term protection against pregnancy.
No. The pill is designed to stop the sperm from entering the womb alive but the MAP is designed to prevent the fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus wall.
