Answer
I hope you will soon heal from this relationship. I know how you feel. I HAD a narcisstic, sociopath boyfriend , I haven't communicated with him for 2 weeks. When he calls, I don't answer. I think to myself all the time that he has found someone else. The sex between us was fantastic, and I really loved him. But he doesn't love me. And he hasn't had a successful relationship because of what he is. TRY to think of yourself and thank God that you escaped someone who so horribly used you. You deserve someone who loves you, and although I KNOW how hurt, feel betrayed and how jealous you are....remember all those bad times? Remember how he treated you? Remember how you never thought he really loved you? Remember thinking how much you wished he REALLY loved you? This is not going to be easy to get over. I am going through such a rough time now, really paying the price for not listening to my God and to my loved ones. He ALMOST destroyed me. Now it is up to me to stand on my own two feet and KEEP remembering how I really loved him, but he didn't love me...he certainly is not good enough for me. In time you will be able to forgive him, maybe not completely keep from loving him, but we will understand that we are deserving of what we so loving CAN GIVE...true love. He will never be happy because he doesn't have the depth to do so. Peace...mbme

If you want a specific time estimate, I would say the sweet phase of the relationship lasts approximately 3 weeks for the initial infatuation, 6 months of adjustment phase sweetness after they move in together, and 2 years of living together. Bear in mind that the latter half of that, the one year and six months, will be for the most part sheer utter hell for both people involved. Don't you worry. It will end badly.
