ive had a few 260 z 2+2 and c210 skylines with the L series engines in them and a few times i have driven down the road and they have died on me at any speed here is a small check list of things to check, points,gap,plugs,timing and carby settings all play a crucial roll and lets not forget altenator, compression and valve clearances,head gasket just to name a few the L series motors can be tricky to work out but when you go over them a few times you will be able to fix it each time and you will be happy for doing it your self i say buy a book on the L series 6 and you can fix it with ease.
