Why will your car crank but not start?

[Edit]

Answer steps to take

29s here as i work around people in the automotive repair field i have picked up techniques for various problems. a master tech once told me with no start you begin by checking for three things... ignition, compression and fuel. i dont know how how to check for compression but to test the ignition simply remove an ignition wire at distributor cap and hold it close to the connection while some else cranks the vehicle if you get sparks you have ignition. for fuel pressure find a cap on the engine (usually near the fuel rail) that looks like an small valve cap (the thing you where put the air in your tires). remove the cap and press the center if you get a spray you at least have fuel pressure to the rail but that only rules out the fuel pump not the fuel injectors.IF YOU DO NOT HAVE SPARK FROM THE WIRE THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE ITS THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. THEY ARE ABOUT 50 BUCKS AT AUTO ZONE. THATS THE CHEEPEST PLACE
