The teddy bear was named the teddy Bear because Teddy Roosevelt went on a bear hunt about 100 years ago. He loved being in and around nature. A political cartoonist made a political cartoon about the bear hunt and the cartoon had appeared in other cartoons and thus, the name Teddy Bear was created in honor of Teddy Roosevelt and the bear hunt.
