Why is the Panda an endangered species?

[Edit]

Answer

Two major reasons. Habitat loss and they are specialists. Specialists have very restrictive diet and habitat requirements. Since pandas only eat bamboo and only live in certain Asian habitats, they are predestined to be endangered. The rat will never be endangered because it can eat almost any thing and live almost anywhere (generalist)

The other reason is because since they live on bamboo, when one bamboo forest dies out they move to the next one. But people cut down these forests (habitat loss) so the pandas have no where to go and starve to death.
