Why do you spend so much time answering questions for a for profit corporation such as WikiAnswers who will catalog your answers and eventually sell them? |
[Edit] |
- Well, Because its fun
- Currently it is free
- Clever, those WikiAnswerians, getting us to work for nothing, but we are enjoying ourselves
- Anyway, how would you pay anonymous contributors?
- And if you did pay for answers, you would have to charge for answers, and WikiAnswers would no longer be free
- So enjoy it!
Actually, the question makes an incorrect assumption. They CANNOT be sold. The message at the bottom of each WikiAnswers page says, "We invite you to copy and share Q&A under a <Creative Commons> license..."; specifically, (via that <link>), the "Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 2.5 License", which states explicitly, "Noncommercial. You may not use this work for commercial purposes." Thus, they cannot be sold, even if WikiAnswers were bought out by another company.
