Why do the car dealerships ask if you are enrolled in school or college?

[Edit]

Answer

Perhaps in conversation during the seller-buyer relationship, but as long as you have the income and your credit checks out okay - there should be no reason that would matter in the final decision to sel you a car.

Note that once you drive off the lot with a car, the dealer is paifd in full - either by you, your financing bank or a combination of both. There is virtually no risk for them.

Good luck!
