Why did dinosaures grow so large?

[Edit]

Answer

Dinosaurs and other fauna and flora at that time were only so large because of the huge amount of oxygen in their envoirnment. More oxygen in the air allows it to be distributed effectively through the body, supporting a large body mass. Not all dinosaurs were large though, the common misconseption is that they were all gigantic like the tyrannosaurus, but many were as small as turkeys.
