Why are the Spotted Dolphins endangered? |
[Edit] |
[Edit]
Not all spotted dolphins are, as the once sparse population of atlantic spotted dolphin in the Bahamas of only 80 has boomed to 200, making the total population around 100,000.
However, the pantropical spotted dolphin population (in eastern pacific ocean) has dwindled to endangered levels as many have died due to being caught in special tuna nets.
Recently and thankfully, they have revamped the net making to correct this fatal error.
