I really don't know what you want to know. The brake system is hydraulic. If your are talking about the fluid type, it is DOT3.

What you most likely want to know is if the brake system is heavy-duty or not. You need to locate the build code (RPO code) sticker. It is in the trunk of sedans and on the rear gate jam of wagons. You want to look for these two three letter codes:
JA1 - Light-Duty Brakes JA2 - Heavy Duty Brakes (Okay, really medium duty..but for a celebrity it's heavy-duty )

The brake type for my 85 2.5L celebrity is JA1. This JA1 code number is located on a label on my trunk spare tire cover, second row of numbers, 4th one across. Thanks to the dude that explained what these numbers meant.
