When was the last time Mars was in the Eighth House in Astrology?

This question is based on a forgiveable lack of knowledge about astrology. You might instead ask more appropriately, "When was the last time Mars was in my eighth house," or his or her eighth house, but there is no generic real-time eighth house that Mars is ever in.

Every astrological chart contains an eighth house (as well as eleven other houses), which is more or less unique for that chart. Mars circles the Sun once about every 22 months, and although it's position in astrology is considered geocentrically rather than heliocentrically, that orbital period remains valid. In that less than two year period it will pass through every sign of the zodiac, and through the eighth house of any astrological chart (natal, horary, progressed, etc.) cast for any moment of time. But it's transit of these respective eighth houses wil be different for every chart, since each eighth house has a different span of signs. One may range from 27 degrees Taurus to 26 degrees Gemini, instance, whereas another may rang efrom 5 degrees Virgo to 4 degrees Libra.

If you had your natal chart or other chart in front of you, you could compare the transit of Mars through the signs to whatever span is contained by your eighth house.
