When To Buy Baby Clothes

"Don't buy too much stuff for yourself until AFTER your shower, assuming someone will surprise you with one. It's real frustrating for the shoppers if you've left them nothing to buy! Your work friends will buy you something too."

"If you see good stuff on sale, sure, pick it up. But keep it unopened in the box and tape the receipt onto it. You might get the same thing at a shower, or someone might give it to you as a gift. You might find things via the newspaper or used babythings store."

"I'd lay in a basic supply of newborn clothes (like onesies and sleepers and such) of the no-frills variety. That way, you'll be covered if no one gets you anything. Then, after showers and such, you can buy whatever else you need."

"Don't buy much until you know the size (and sex) of the child! Some are tiny and will need the smallest size, others start out wearing the 6-month size!" For more pregnancy information, visit http://www.babyhold.com/

My first was born at 8lb 5oz and had outgrown newborn sizes in a month, my second was 4lb 15oz as was still wearing newborn sizes at six months.
