Answer

Do a search on threelac, very good for many things - but a simple fix to clean out the body is Golden Seal in liquid form. This is awsesome stuff from cleaning the body of toxins including those that bring on common cold and flu.

I have been slowly trying to ween myself off of lexapro I was at 10mg daily to 5mg day to 5 every other day to a fourth of a 10 mg pill every 3 days... I have tried to stop cold turkey but the side effects were just awful. I started taking Centrum Performance on december 1st so it has been almost 2 weeks, it has made me feel considerably better... I havn't had a fourth of my lexapro in 4 days, my hands are starting to go a little numb here and there but my vertigo and nausea is gone... I don't know if I am just over the hump of the withdrawls or if it is the centrum ... I feel like a new person. My prayers are with you all trying to get off of lexapro, I think it is the worst thing I have ever had to go through, it might even be worse than my panic attacks.....Good Luck

I had taken Paxil 40mg for 4 years. I tried to stop them by tapering off. It failed horribly so..... So bad in fact the doctor put me on Lexapro 10mg to stop the withdrawal. I had taken Lexapro for 1 year and now need/needed off the Lexapro over insurance loss (our coverage ends Jan 1,2006) I cut down to 5mg a day for two and a half months. I tried taking them every other day to taper even more but found they just made me feel worse. Instead I quit taking them all together and slept for 48 hours with out interuption. To stay asleep I took Tylenol PM. I took only one in the 48 hours (about mid point... with me all I wanted to do anyway was sleep). It kept the headache and bodyache away while I slept. When I woke I had to deal with dizzyness and a feeling of "swooshing beans" in my head. When I was trying to overcome the Paxil withdrawal my doctor suggested 1(one) 25mg Meclizine every 4 (four) hours but only for a couple days. I decided to apply it to this Lexapro situation and it did work. I drink lots of water to "flush" my system. The last Lexapro I have taken is a little over two weeks ago. I am doing fine so far... keeping all OTCs to a minimum was the best way to go for me, along with a lot of sleep and water(and Patience!!). One other thing when it was all at its worst.... a prayer.... "By the blood of Jesus Christ, I am cleansed, healed, and protected! Amen" Scream it if you need to.... I did :)

Answer:

Use a high quality B complex supplement, and Neptune krill oil (if you are not allergic to shellfish) to help stop Lexapro withdrawals. It works great! I have come down off 20 mg down to 5 mg in the last three weeks and have only had mild fatigue and very mild dizziness. Take valerian root for anxiety......
