Is it possible that you did not cut your stems when you brought them home? Cut flowers must have the stems recut before they are vased for display. Another issue is that you did not thoroughly clean the vase before you put flowers in them. After washing the vase, thoroughly rinse it, then put a vinegar solution in it to remove all traces of residue. Solution: 1/4 cup of vinegar to 1/2 gallon of water. Rinse again. Flowers are most susceptable to soap residue. Finally, did you use the nutrient solution that came with the flowers? Many bouquets come with the solution in the package. This solution is both nutrient and anti-fungal, so use it according to package directions.
