How much does the bike it self weight? If more than 700 pounds then it should hold somewhere around 900 pounds.

Dry weight for the Virago is about 487 lbs.
My FXR dry weight is 575 lbs, GVWR=1085, GAWR-Front=390, GAWR-Rear=695
900 as Bermshotboy suggested maybe fine but for a correct GVWR you should contact your Yamaha Dealer and ask them better SAFE then SORRY.

Since I live in Asia I have seen some truly amazing sights when it comes to loading a motorcycle I've even seen up to 5 people.. and so far the largest thing I have see are a refrigator and a washing machine...^^
