Answer
Bill's link won't help you. The 67/67A was not serialized. 383,000 were manufactured between 1934 and 1963.
Answer
I was looking for the same information on my 67 when I found this. Now I am confused because my 67 fits both categories of #1 and #2 rifle.
Mine has the correct stamping, the 2 bolt and breech proof marks. the bolt and safety are the only things chrome, and it's got a smooth faced trigger instead of a grooved one. It has no #7 stamp on it.And the safety is not marked. No serial #, no sling swivels and the round,no finger groove stock. The takedown bolt is recessed.
Now figure that one out? Maybe mine was a "transition" between mod.1 and mod.2?
