There are several methods to be seen by a college scout:

1. play for a good, big-name soccer club (traveling team, select teams, premier teams) 2. play in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) and make it to the upper eschelon of teams (State, Regional, National). 3. play in big name tournaments (Ex: Dallas Cup, Sun Bowl, etc.) 4. send out letters with a bio to any colleges you would be interested in playing for, AND think you have a realistic chance of playing for. 5. know the right people.
