What is the best thing about having a teenager? |
[Edit] |
Answer
That's a tough question...
I think, for me at least, it's the being able to relate to my daughter better than I ever have in her life. I can understand her feelings and emotions and why she does the things she does. I can have an intelligent conversation with her one minute and be silly and carefree the next and knowing that it's ok to do that. Watching her grow into a young woman and knowing that I helped to raise an intelligent and fun person even though I failed at so many other things. Yeah, for me, those are the best things about having a teenager.
The worst....attitude, money, sarcasm and the constant worrying.
Answer
For me the best thing about having a teenager is the same as the best thing about having a child of any age. I just feel so fortunate to have been able to experience it. To love someone that much is indescribable. This breaking away period can be tough, but the glimpses I get here and there of who he is and is becoming are priceless.
