What is so special about black-bottom pools?

There are a number of reasons a Black swimming pool is spcial...

1. The black interior finish assists in the reflective nature of the surface of the pool, allowing you to see the landscaping/view etc reflected in the water, as opposed to the leaf that is sitting on the floor which would stick out in a white pool.

2. The black interior helps keep the temperature of the water up...at least that's what the material manufacturers say...I would suspect people in Arizona or Nevada would have more to say regarding that subject.

3. A black pool looks like it's full of ink on a cloudy day...

...one bad thing, is that if you have a high calcium level in the water, you can get white streaks in the pool quickly...shows up faster in dark interior finishes.
