What is sexy about smoking cigarettes?

During the 1800's (and even long before) smoking was considered part of the elite society. Men would be at a social function and later go into 'the salon' and have brandy with a cigarette or cigar and it was acceptable. Most women didn't smoke back then and those that did were considered 'trash' to 'loose girls' and reserved for prostitutes. Still, some women enjoyed the odd cigar and some of these women were in the elite circle and some even would smoke a pipe on occasion in the privacy of their home. During the time of movies (if you ever watch old movies) almost all actors 'lit up' and it was to look eloquent' and a man/woman of the world and social graces. Also many people who smoked (or still smoke) and have had sex will often feel like lighting up a cigarette after the sexual act. It's a comfort zone.

Now that the media and doctors splash all over that cigarette smoking is not good for you some people either quit and prefer not to be around smokers. Other people who have never smoked sometimes don't like being around smokers. Some people don't care one way or the other. There is nothing sexy about smoking and it's habit forming.
