What is required to convert a 84 cj7 4cyl with t-4 tranny to a gm v-8 and what parts are needed?

[Edit]

Answer

Look at it this way. You're trying to turn a hen into a rooster. So to speak. Make no mistake, it can be done but you'll have to change everything. Fabricate the engine and tranny mounts. (Speaking of tranny, what are you going to do there? A Chevy engine won't bolt up to your CJ's tranny and besides which, the extra horse power of a V-8 will surely tear it apart.) Figure out the how and where's on the electronics. Fabricate fuel supply. Exhaust. Cut the axles. Etc, etc, etc. It's a HUGE undertaking. However, if you realy want to do it I suggest you pull the engine, power train and everything else out of a 4X4 Chevy something (an old Blazer maybe?) and transplant it into your Jeep. Like I said though, it's a big, big job.
