What is required for a food to be called organic?

[Edit]
Nothing is suppose to be required. It should have NO chemicals at all. It should just be for example... natural raised bananas or something. They just plant the seeds and it grows by its self. It's organic, they don't put any chemicals in it to help it grow because then it's not organic. If you look at the labels of organic food (if they have lables) They should have very little ingredients to them. Now look at a non organic food and you will see like a million ingredients!
