it depends where you are in the world.
Generally it is a 2 wheel vehicle, with both wheels in line, that has a seat and an engine to power it.
Most countries call it a motorcycle if engine is bigger than 50cc and a moped if engine is below 50cc.
Mopeds originaly had to be powered by pedals as well as engine.
A motorcycle may also have 3 wheel, if a pair of wheels are on the same axle line and less than 450mm between them
