What is gallops in heart? In: Human Anatomy [Recategorize] |
[Edit] |
Abnormal rhythms
The term for abnormal rhythms is arrhythmia. One of the more common, and less serious, causes of arrhythmia is a heart murmur. If that is what you are talking about, then it is generally a mild condition where the left atrioventricular vavle in the heart has a slight prolapse and leaks some blood back into the left atrium when the left ventricle contracts. This could be the 'gallop' that you feel happening in your heart. If it is constant and bothersome you should go see a doctor.
