I think a good gpa is anything over 3.0. A 3.5 or higher is great, and 4.0 (or close to 4.0) is excellent.

A good GPA is anything better than average. A GPA that is greater than > 2.5 is usually a good GPA. Most people have a higher major GPA in the classes they take.
