What happens if you are a few days late paying a fine for a traffic violation? |
[Edit] |
Answer
Usually an arrest warrant is issued for non-payment. Most court have cool off period before the court issued the warrant. What if your mother die on Sunday and the buried date is Tuesday, the same day the court date. This is why most court have cool off period (within 3 to 5 days). This arrest warrant is commonly enforced for the city and/or county that it occured in. If it's in-state, you may not be able to renew your license.
