What does this Bible prophecy for the end of the world mean and the men shall become as women?

[Edit]

Answer

What book, chapter and verse is the quote from? I can't find it in my Bible concordance. But if it does exist, I would imagine it is saying that men would become weak and in need of someone to lead them, or something like that.

Answer

The verse is Jeremiah 50:37:-

Jer 50:37 KJV A sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed.

This is a future prophecy of the terror of the Babylonian's at the impending destruction of Babylon by a confederation of nations:-

Jer 50:1 KJV The word that the LORD spake against Babylon ...by Jeremiah the prophet. [v. 2] ...say, Babylon is taken, ...[v.9] For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country:... from thence she shall be taken: ...[v.29] Call together the archers against Babylon: all ye that bend the bow, camp against it round about; let none thereof escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath been proud against the LORD, against the Holy One of Israel. [v.30] Therefore shall her young men fall in the streets, and all her men of war shall be cut off [ie die] in that day, saith the LORD...[v.37] A sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is upon her treasures; and they shall be robbed....[v.41] Behold, a people shall come from the north, and a great nation... [v. 42] They shall hold the bow and the lance: they are cruel, and will not shew mercy ... to the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon. [v. 43] The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands waxed feeble: anguish took hold of him, and pangs as of a woman in travail.

NB This is not referring to the fall of ancient Babylon in history because after its capture by Cyrus it was not destroyed but was kept inhabited, and later fell into disuse. (It will be destroyed in the future and never be inhabited again.)
