What does the brake warning light mean? |

It means something is wrong with the brake system. Check fluid level first; if it is low, refill it and test the brakes again. Also check that your emergincy brake is fully released. Be sure the parking brake pedal (if it is a push one) is all the way up. Either way, don't delay getting it checked soon.

If is a Honda Accord 1992 2 door, you may need to check for bad bulbs/loose connections.

The brake light in my car can come on if the parking brake pedal does not come up all the way when I release it. One of the cables going to the rear drums has rust in it causing it to bind and not release all the way.
