Planting White Buttercup Bulbs

With any bulb rinse and pat dry with a paper towel to clean off any debris from shipping or handling. You must plant any bulb according to its zone for blooming. If you have the package they came in, it should be on there. It not, go to your local agricultural extention office and they can guide you in planting. Be sure to plant the bulb with the tear drop peak facing the ground. Be sure to soak the inside of the hole so it is moistened. Fill the hole with a fresh mixture of soil, manure, peat, and perlite. Depending on the size of the bulb, depth of planting will vary. If it's too deep, the bulb will never break the surface. If it's too shallow, it won't have enough time to germinate in the ground. Usually, 2 inches down is sufficient, but look on the package and it should say. Sjpace them about 6 inches apart so the roots and flowers do not compete with each other for nutrients.
