2. Size of Pearl: the larger the pearl, the more valuable it will be.
3. Quality of Pearl: the rounder and more clean the suface of the pearl, the more it will be worth. Round pearls are more valuable than baroque or off-round pearls.
4. Cultured vs. Natural: natural pearls are inherently more valuable than cultured pearls due to their rarity.
5. Color of Pearl: For white pearls, whiter pearls tend to be more valuable than pearls that have yellowish or cream hues. For Golden South Seas, the value is highly dependent on the saturation of the gold color.

First thing is size and shape, the larger and more creamy the color the better, Second is the weight of the pearl itself third is area it is from since some areas are very rare to find Pearls they are of course more costly to locate. There is a grading scale, but I shall see if I can find that again. this is based on depth of color and luminescence. This is all based on it being a salt water raw pearl of course and not a cultured pearl which is seeded in a farmed bed.
