THE COMPONENTS OF THE COMPOUND LIGHT MICROSCOPE:
The eyepiece- the lens at the top that you look through.
The body tube- this part supports the eyepiece and the objectives.
The arm- supports the tube and connects it to the base.
The base- It supports the stage and body of the microscope, and in many cases
houses the lamp. A well designed base will ensure taht the image will
not dance during the focusing.
The nosepiece- this is the part that holds the objective lenses and can be rotated
easily change power.
The stage- the platform where you place your slides.
The stage clips-these are the basic stage holders.
The aperture- used to tilt the microscope.
The diaphragm- it is a simple device between the light and slide that controls the
amount of light that passes through the object being viewed.
