While the advantages of teaching sex the ins and outs far outway the disadvantages there are some hidden disadvantages, First an ever increasing number of students don't get the whole message because of attention defict. Second believe it or not there are still some virgins in school and this type of class is either offensive to them, or it raises their intereststo try it and wind up pregnant. Thirdly some families prefer to sit their children down some night and carefully explain about the birds and the bees because they can individually teach and answer any questions their child may have opposed to a teacher, sadly some don't give a damn about your child and teach it in a monotany tone that put half the kids to sleep, because they couldn't care less about who gets pregnant, catches aids or herpes.

The disadvantage of sex education in the schools is simply this: It's not the schools right or responsibility to educate children regarding sexual issues! Schools need to stick to the basics, reading, writing, math, basic science and history. It's none of their business to teach children about sex. That is the parents job. One reason why we home school!
