What are the factors which help or hinder social change? In: The Bible [Recategorize] |

Answer
The first rquirement is that a person wants real change and not just to talk about it or be destructive as a revolutionary. A lot of people just want to complain and not do anything.
It is the same in the Christian life. People go to church yet don't let God change them and they get hardened to His Woird.
The second requirement is teachability. Some people say they want change but don't want to be told what to do to get there. We see this also in the spiritual sense.
The third thing needed is a helping hand. Some people can change on their own and "pull themselves up by their bootstraps", but generally, if they are discouraged, they need someone to help them out of where they are. This is what Galatians 6:2 means, "bear each other's burdens"
If the person you are trying to help displays the first two problems in their life, you probably can't help them yet. Use God's wisdom as you help others so you don't get frustrated and burnt out. Use creative means to help people not always the ways that have always been used. God is a creative God, so we can tap into that creativity when we call on His wisdom to lead our lives.
