The Anubis were man-dogs. There was also a god who was an Anubis.Mostly they were kinda blue in color but they varied. They were just mythological creatures. They were tough, strong, fierce, but were not always bad. If you ever seen "the mummy" trilogy you'll know what they are. They were in the big war when the guy was running against the shadow to do that thing to kill all the bad guys.

It would be inaccurate to say that there's an anubis creature, because Anubis is the name of an egyption god. legend says he judged the dead and guided their souls to the afterlife. whether he really existed is like asking if ANY god really exists. It would be impossible to prove, but trust your instincts and you may be able to find yourself answers by meditating and trying to gain knowledge from past lives or your subconscious.
