By profession, I am a Violin, Clarinet and Saxophone teacher by day and I perform as a professional musician in between my teaching work.

I am passionate about both of my jobs. Teaching is something I do because I feel that children and teens are so under valued in todays world. I love to pass on my knowledge and I take joy in seeing people learn and achieve. The greatest compliment I can have as a teacher is a student no longer needing my guidance. It means I have achieved what I have set out to do.

In todays learning environment so much revolves around testing and exam results that a joy in learning has taken a back seat, school has become a place to learn to pass exams rather than to develop a thirst for knowledge. I like to think I can do a little something to counter this!

As a musician and performer I love my work. Music has such a power over our lives, the ability to make the worst day good, to lift the soul to the heavens or to plunge it into despair.
To sit as part of a symphony orchestra is my greatest joy, to be a part of such a massive sound and force.
I love to play in pit orchestras, small ensembles, wedding music, really any music!!

I have many varied interests and areas of study.

Rabbits and Animal rescue is something I care deeply about. I have 4 house rabbits that I love deeply! I think education is the key to preventing so much unintentional cruelty and abuse as well as abandonment.

Hobbies
Well, I would have to say Art! I love to draw! I enjoy drawing animals and wildlife most of all, especially horses. One of my drawings is below.
