If your son was one of the fastest boys on his team and always played Forward or Striker why would his new team have him playing Sweeper?

[Edit]

Answer

because theyre jealous of him

There may be a few reasons. 1. If this is just a new team, perhaps the new team has strikers already. 2. If this is an elite team, your son may be one of the ones the coach can trust to play that position, it is considered to be one of the most important position, but not necessarily the most glamorous. This happened to me and I ended up being the alternate captain of my provicial team. He would need the speed to keep up with the opposing strikers. 3. The coach might be overlooking offensive talent or might be playing favourites.
