If your Marlin Glenfield model 30 doesn't have a letter prefix just '69' does that mean 1969? |
[Edit] |
Answer
Hi I also own a Marlin/Glenfield model 30 cal. 30-30. the former owner says he remembers buying it sometime in 1970. and the first two digts are 70 104-- so I would think that those first two digts would show the date of manufacture.
God Bless,
Mike.

Answer
Yes, it does. Soon after that, Marlin changed to a different dating system where you subtract the first two digits from 2000 to come up with the year of manufacture.
