If you were diagnosed with ADHD and have seen little improvement with neither Strattera nor Adderall do you really have ADHD or are you just not taking the right meds? In: Strattera, Adderall [Recategorize] |

Answer
Every person is different and some people react well to a drug and others don't, so you should see your doctor and keep trying. There is a medication that can help you. Before you are so certain you have ADHD it's adviseable to seek a second opinion from a specialist on ADHD.
Some drugs also can take 10 days to 6 weeks to work. I would still get that second opinion.
Good luck Marcy
I agree. such diagnosis depends entirely on clinical symptoms and history as there are currently no biological tests to prove them. they are therefore often misdiagnosed, either missed, or over diagnosed. be aware that at times anxieties or mood disorders can mimick ADHD especially in children. ADHD medications in such cases actually make them worse. in some cases of genuine ADHD, these meds can also cause agitation and should be discontinued. Dr Tabatabai ( DrTaba.net )
