If you were able to harness raw atomic energy through a special engine and aim nothing but the energy at the ground would it be able to cause an object to lift or to hover?

[Edit]

Answer

First off, no one knows what "pure energy" is, in order to be useful energy but take one of the forms we are familiar with (heat, light, momentum, etc.).

Second, in order to levitate something you only need to overcome the gravitational energy acting on the object. Lucky for us Gravity is the weakest force in the universe, iso I think the answer to your question would be yes, there is enough nuclear/electric energy to lift an object against earths gravity.
