If you take the morning after pill right after your period and unprotected sex then have another period the day after you take the pill can you still be pregnant and is it normal? |

Answer
Hello,
Bleeding when taking the MAP is normal and this will not affect the MAP's effectiveness. The MAP will cause you to have a period or vaginal like bleeding which looks like a period. This is perfectly normal and means the MAP has worked.
However long term use of MAP is not advised as it causes hormonal imbalances and messes up your period cycle. Condom or birth control is the best long term protection method available.
