How much should parts and labor cost for replacing the timing belt on a 1997 Nissan Sentra GXE?

[Edit]

Answer

$100.00

Answer

It really depends on who is doing the work and how fast they work, but just to take the belts apart and replace the timing belt inside your engine it takes anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. I reccomend you get done professionally, if its not done right it could cause some major internal damage. Could cost anywhere from $100-$250 for just the labour. Good luck

Answer

A 1997 GXE uses a timing chain, not a belt. I should last the life of the car if you're not an abusive driver.
