Well my 2000 Impreza holds 3.75 L ... Your best bet is to CAll subaru !!! They will be able to tell you right away... The other option is to look in a search for specs on your make and model of car... it should come up

According to my Chilton manual the 1984 Subaru GL holds between 10.8 and 12.6 pints, unless it is a 4WD then it should hold between 12.6 to 13.6 pints.
