How do you stop using profanity?

[Edit]

Answer

If you have been using it for some time, its not easy to stop using it. However, it can be done. Its a habit and that's all it is. You just need to break the habit, which means you must be conscious of your words at all times. Your going to slip, but as you focus on your language you will find great success. Believe me, I was in that mode while in the Marine Corps where the "F" word was just as common as using the word "and" or" the."
Don't beat yourself up if you slip. Just try to keep focus, and you will break the habit to the point where you will feel uncomfortable using profanity. I'm kind of chuckling as am typing this, but only because I remember those days very clearly. Now, people very seldom hear any profanity spewing from my mouth. However, when they do hear it, they know I'm serious because it's no longer common language with me...lol!! Best wishes!!

Just f*cking go cold turkey - it worked for me
