How do you reset the SRS Light on a 98 Honda Accord? In: Honda Accord [Recategorize] |

Answer
Go to auto zone and have the codes read.
Or, buy your own ODB II code reader (under $100) and see what the codes are yourself (trust me this little device will pay for itself!) If you don't have any codes stored AND your SRS light is still on, you need to reset the SRS computer. There is a special tool for that you can buy from your Honda dealer, or you can pay them to do it (cheaper to buy the tool.)
Your SRS light can come on for a number of reasons including changing the battery, or just inadvertantly pulling the SRS fuse. It doesn't necessarily mean you have a problem with the SRS system -although it may. The best way to tell is by clearing all codes and resetting the SRS computer. If the light comes back on, something's up with the SRS system - could be something as simple as a seat belt switch.
